We just came back from walking up to the office to pick up our mail and the wind was really chilly! Supposedly the cold front from Amarillo is wafting down to us. The actual high yesterday was 73 (not 68 like I said) & it's about 20 degrees colder today. We heard the front go thru at about 9 p.m. last night with 38 mph wind gusts & rain. Not complaining! We watch where all of you are and see that Marni & Mark are really getting snow today.
On our walk we saw a name sign for "Marni Miller" and later some folks from Ontario named Marjorie & Ivan---Ivan was outside and we told him that it was very close to my mother & step-dad's names of Marjorie & Ivar. Not very common names!
We are discovering that there are a lot of folks reading our blog who are not "followers" but who write to us to respond either on Facebook or e-mail and you are all much appreciated! Nice to know that some of you have been where we are or are enjoying the photos. Plus cheering Bob on--just don't cheer him on too much because his hobbies are going to overwhelm him one of these days LOL! Yesterday he found a fellow babershopper from Dubuque, IA (we lived there long ago) and they have made plans to drive to Corpus to visit that barbershop club. They are just down the street here in the park from us & were at the Iowa lunch yesterday, too.
Well, I tried to send you all a picture of the Baleen whale that beached yesterday but it went into space I guess as it said it had loaded but then didn't appear. I did write a comment that you can click on and see the url for the article. The whale was 48' long and about 12 tons so it is quite the topic of conversation here!
The bottom of the screen says "error on page" so maybe this is going to disappear, too! Guess I'll hit "post" & see what happens.
Love to all
