Kauppatori Market Square 6/18/10

This market is open year around and is known for its orange tents. This was really a highlight of the tour as it was just so bright and nice to walk around in and located a short walk from the ship.
There were furs, crafts and other things in addition to the flowers, fruits & vegetables. Loved these reindeer but didn't think they would fit in the suitcase! We found an original water color which was off the exact view where we were and bought it for our travel wall--just perfect!

The vegetables were just amazing! Bob even took individual photos of the peppers and the egg plants--no wonder we ended with 1501 photos! It is really hard to pick ones to share but am doing my best. We didn't buy anything other than the very small painting but everything was tempting. Lots of little places to have coffee and food in the market, too.

You can see the bright orange tents well in this photo.

The berries were hard to pass up! Beautiful blue berries and strawberries right in front.

  1. Don't think I'd be able to walk by those berries without a taste taste. Travel wall? Seriously? Where are you going to squeeze that in?

  2. We started on the wall opposite the "brown" wall & have the 4 new countries paintings hanging already! Took the grandkids pictures downstairs with the other family photos on the stairwell. We will have more new countries after our next cruise at Christmas :-)
