Tour: Berlin Wall & other 6/26/10

Germany's federal parliament building, the Reichstag, is much visited. The crowds were immense. There is a glass dome at the back of the building which has a circling ramp which takes you to the top of the dome where you can look down to view the Parliament. There was a very, very long line of people waiting to climb to the top.

This is a view of The Wall in what was East Germany. Artists have painted on sections of it which stretches for a long way. Very colorful.
Another view of the wall. We both touched it and took pictures of us doing that. The history of the wall is ever in your mind as you see it and our guide told us personal memories.

This is a section where you can see that a hole as been made. We assume this was done so someone could have a souvenir of the wall.

This is at Check-point Charlie with the famous photo standing beside the sign. We have a number of other photos taken here which show more of the area.
