The Palace Theater "Swan Lake" 6/19/10

Our evening tour was to the Russian Ballet at the Palace Theater which was built 1799-1801. The original interiors of the palace were preserved. Bob is standing on the Gala staircase.
We visited with the couple seated in front of us who were from a different cruise ship and she offered to take our picture. We returned the favor. The theater was huge and we had individual chairs, seated on the main floor and only about 10 rows back from the orchestra pit. Fantastic!

Wow! The ballet was spectacular! Great music, dancing & costumes--we really enjoyed it. Bought a program for a souvenir along with our ticket stubs to go in our cruise album.

We were so glad that the ballet we got to see was Swan Lake. We had seen it when we were in college and at least were familiar with the story but glad to have the program to read the synopsis of the scenes.

Taking their bows at the end of the performance. We were really glad that we had gone!
