Tuesday June 22, 2010 Tallinn, Estonia

This photo is of the "New City" which is quite modern. In fact, they have free WiFi just everywhere from the beaches to the Old city. If you click on the photo to enlarge it you can see a street car and that the pedestrians have on coats--we wished we had on coats instead of light sweaters!
We saw McDonald's in every city we visited including Tallinn, Estonia.

But this is the only Methodist church we saw, and it was a quite plain building.

One of our stops was at a Catholic Convent and ruins of a large Gothic Church at St Bridget's. There was an ancient cemetery in the church grounds. Our guide told us that private homes are highly desired, and we did see some, but that they take 5 to 10 years to build! Evidently there is a lack of supplies and of construction labor also. The recession has affected them quite severely--we were told this in nearly every country and we learned their unemployment was par with ours.

This is the first sunset of the cruise! And just beautiful as the sun sunk into the sea!
